Big Toe Joint Pain
With research background in big toe joint osteoarthritis, I specialise in helping people overcome this common but challenging condition.
Now consulting at Be Podiatry Ivanhoe. Helping you overcome foot and lower limb problems so you can get back to doing what you love.
With over 15 years of experience and a first-class honours degree in podiatry, I help you overcome foot and lower limb problems so you can get back to doing what you love. I focus on the whole person and how improving your foot health makes a real difference in your everyday life.
Specialising in complex conditions that benefit from an experienced, systematic approach.
With research background in big toe joint osteoarthritis, I specialise in helping people overcome this common but challenging condition.
I've developed a systematic approach to working through heel pain that's helped countless patients return to their daily activities.
I work with weekend warriors building up to half marathons or marathons. I help you progress without setbacks.
Extensive experience treating warts that haven't responded to traditional treatments using Cantharone and Swift Microwave Therapy.
I care for a limited number of regular clients, many who've been seeing me for years, providing ongoing maintenance and support.
"I'm particularly suited to helping people with challenging problems that haven't responded to other treatments, which is why I often receive referrals for second opinions."
A partnership approach focused on understanding your whole situation.
I give you time to tell your story. It's not just about the pain—it's about how it's affecting your work, exercise, and the things you love doing.
I focus on the whole person, not just feet. Your foot health should make a real difference in your everyday life.
I'm upfront about recovery timelines, treatment options, and costs. No overselling, no overcomplicated solutions. Where possible, I keep things simple.
Many patients come to me having not understood what's happening and why. I take time to help you understand your condition so you're empowered to recover.
I work with what works for you—your schedule, your commitments. If you've got no time for an hour of rehab daily, I won't ask for it. Plans need to fit your life.
We work together. You're not just following orders—you're an active participant in your recovery.
Patients appreciate that I take time to listen, explain things clearly, and create plans that actually fit into their busy lives. I believe in being transparent about what to expect and giving each person the attention and detail their situation deserves. Whether it's helping you understand a complex diagnosis or simply making sure you never feel rushed, my goal is to make every appointment worthwhile.
BPodSt (First Class Honours)
With over 15 years of experience, I bring both expertise and a down-to-earth approach to podiatry care. I graduated with first-class honours from La Trobe University in 2010 and have worked across private practices in Essendon and Melbourne's western suburbs.
Most recently, I was a part-owner and senior podiatrist at Fairfield Podiatry, caring for the local community for over a decade. I've also worked as a podiatry tutor and clinical supervisor at La Trobe University, and had my research on big toe joint osteoarthritis published in Arthritis Care & Research.
What drives me is focusing on the whole person, not just their feet. I believe improving your foot health should make a real difference in your everyday life. With a special interest in big toe joint pain, heel pain, and running injuries, I enjoy solving challenging foot and lower limb problems that haven't responded to other treatments—which is why many patients seek me out for second opinions.
I also care for a limited number of regular clients with toenail and skin problems, many of whom have been seeing me for years. I have extensive experience treating stubborn plantar warts using advanced treatment options, including Cantharone and Swift Microwave Therapy.
I currently work as a firefighter, which is why I only consult as a podiatrist one or two days a week. My existing patients have been understanding and supportive of my reduced availability, and many continue to work with me because of our long-standing relationships.
Outside the clinic, I enjoy spending time with my family (I have two young children aged 8 and 5), running, relaxing in Noosa, and cheering on the Golden State Warriors.
